Long range professional development opportunity. Courses are in depth work on literay topics where learning takes place over time, allowing for classroom implementation in between sessions. Professional Learning Sessions....
All Tanya's PD's are designed specifically for grades 3-12 where kids have switched from "learning to read" to "reading to learn" but many are also applicable to grades K-2.

Being a teacher is hard.
Being a student is hard.
Tanya's experiences have taken her through both.
From being a child who loved books more than she liked other kids, to parenting a child who was the victim of bullying, to finding her voice as an advocate for the power of stories to change the world, Tanya intrinsically understands the humanity that connects us.
That humanity does not pause when we enter a classroom. It is the relationships we form with each other and with our students that will become our educator story. It takes empowerment to envision that that story might be different as the world of education changes around us.
